Becoming a student-ready institution
Now more than ever, Indiana University is well-positioned to execute a bold, transformational vision focused on supporting students. President Pamela Whitten consistently proclaims, “Students are the center of the universe for everything we do at Indiana University” and IU’s infrastructure for student support reflects this commitment. IU’s 2030 strategic plan centers on student success and opportunity as its first pillar, with initiatives grounded in the pursuit of access, affordability, and an unwavering commitment to equity and inclusion. This commitment permeates through all of IU.
To accomplish this, the Office of the Vice President for Student Success (OVPSS) leverages a centralized organizational structure to develop IU-wide student success strategies and initiatives. OVPSS leads four key units, and participates in several other teams, critical to student success at Indiana University.
