OVPSS operates four areas of content expertise, each addressing critical components of student success.
Cultivates holistic student supports that address access, resources, and opportunities required to create equitable outcomes for all students. Partners with campuses and communities of practice to address student equity in access, policy, and process.
Works to enhance overall student engagement by developing and implementing initiatives that promote student wellbeing and holistic development from the moment they step onto campus through their graduation and beyond. Collaborates across the university to ensure that students have access to the resources and support they need to thrive socially and personally.
Works to simplify the process of navigating the student experience from pre-admission to post-graduation. This unit collaborates with and convenes IU leadership, campus partners, and IU’s numerous communities of practice to develop innovative and streamlined student-ready practices that promote success throughout a student’s journey at IU.
Manages the day-to-day administration and strategic direction of the Office of the Vice President for Student Success. This unit works to support and coordinate student success efforts, both among other OVPSS units and across Indiana University.
