Our Work

So every IU student can thrive

The Office of the Vice President for Student Success is both the home for Indiana University’s student success strategy and a source of support and resources for campus-based student success efforts.

We aim to foster a student-ready ecosystem where every member of the university is invested in creating an environment where students can thrive. Our office engages in multifaceted efforts, including:

  • advocating for student interests, needs, and perspectives in all university decisions
  • ensuring a consistent, high-quality student experience, irrespective of a student’s campus or major
  • championing policies and practices that center students and prioritize their holistic needs
  • delivering enterprise-wide resources including technology, proven practices, and expertise to our campus partners

Student success and opportunity are fundamental to the IU 2030 Strategic Plan. Over the past academic year, OVPSS and campus partners have worked together to achieve significant strides towards a system of holistic support. Still, we know there is more to do for our students to thrive. OVPSS is pleased to share that, working with partners across IU, our team has identified five priorities for the 2024-2025 academic year.
