The Office of the Vice President for Student Success (OVPSS) serves as both Indiana University’s home for comprehensive student success strategy and a source of support and resources for campus-based student success efforts.
OVPSS collaborates with stakeholders to champion student interests, needs, and perspectives in all university decisions, so that every student can thrive.
We will be student centered in all aspects of our work.
We will center equity and inclusion, including centering the needs of marginalized communities and incorporating historically-silenced voices in the work we do.
Our work will be rooted in research linked to student success, thriving, and flourishing.
Our work will be rooted in national and IU data, and will be disaggregated so that any resulting framework or strategy produced is centered on our full student population.
Clear and campus-relevant metrics, benchmarks, and outcomes will be established for any strategy, and campuses will be held accountable to these metrics.
Our work will incorporate the voices of multiple stakeholders, and any resulting strategy will be both powerful and agile enough to work for the campuses within Indiana University.
